Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center

The Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center serves as a hub of recreational life, athletic events and physical education classes. Full-time York College students, staff and faculty with valid YCP ID have access to multiple recreation venues including a three-court field house which is commonly used for intramural sports programs and informal recreation, a 7,600 square foot fitness center which is outfitted with strength training and cardiovascular conditioning equipment, a 32 foot climbing wall which features a variety of climbing routes for all climbing levels, a natatorium with a pool and deck space for instruction and competition which is able to be transformed from a recreational 12-lane pool to an 8-lane competition site, multiple purpose rooms which are programmed with physical education and drop-in group exercises classes, an elevated indoor walking and jogging track (8.8 laps equals one mile), and the Charles Wolf Gymnasium which is home to a few of the varsity sporting events, physical education classes and campus events. The outdoor facilities are equipped with two turf playing fields, 8-lane synthetic running track and natural grass playing field.
